Falls of Falloch - Glen Falloch, Scotland
People were jumping off this while I was there. Crazy people I mean.
Drumlanrig Castle - Thornhill nr Dumfries, Scotland
Unplanned stop on my road trip. Saw a sign for a castle and followed it. Ah, life.
Having just shelled out for the Macbook Pro Retina 15” and then realising it only has one USB port on each side I am therefore unable to access my external hard drive, containing all the aforementioned Scottish trip’s files, until a new USB splitter I’ve just ordered arrives in a few days. Here is a bonus photo from the Cornwall trip I happened to have on SD card by way of apology for the wait. It’s slightly off centre but you’ll live. Hang fire!
New trip to the west highlands of Scotland planned for this week. I am leaving my own modest vehicle behind and renting a nice car (I’ll find out exactly what when I go to pick up); I love to drive and the driving experience is part of the trip. I’m going up into Glencoe and the Isle of Skye and staying in several very small guesthouses, most of which only have a couple of rooms; it will feel like I’m staying in someone’s house.
I am hoping for several things:
1) Interesting/varied weather.
2) Interesting/varied photographs.
3) No “Hostel” or “Turistas” type scenarios in the remote guesthouses I’ve booked. I’m a Londoner to boot so I will have to be on guard.
I will be English among Highlanders; I will a sheep among wolves.
'Compulsory office memos' are just like real compulsory office memos except they are not from or to an office and aren't compulsory. They're often not memos either.
